The MacBook Air 15″ would be fine for me expect, it does not support dual monitors out of the box and I do not want to spend $200 on a dock and use third-party software in order to do so.

Apple were mad not to have made such an obviously desirable product years ago. But it’s not as cheap as i hoped it would be – with 16gb of RAM and a 512gb SSD (Apple shouldn’t even sell laptops with less than that IMO) it gets $400 more expensive than the ‘base’ price PLUS for some reason the UK prices are ridiculous. 1 dollar = 1 pound which is a complete robbery

Yea too bad it is nearly useless like all the apple products, and I type this from a 2000+ iPad “laptop’ that is equally useless. Always great hardware but atrouciously cringe and useless software.

I think this in another iPhone 14 Plus Situation. Tech people think this will sell like hot cake but I really don’t think so. If you buy an Air you usually want a small and portable device and not this 🤔

I’m pondering whether to get a 15inch MBA or a second hand MBP 16inch. I need the screen real estate. I’m thinking long-term. If I upgrade the 15inch MBA to 16GB RAM, 1TB, it’s near the 16inch second hand, within a couple of hundred. But the Pro has the screen, better speakers, faster chip, and will last longer. Which machine to buy – weight notwithstanding – if we’re thinking five years down the line?
