For me the sound is not very important , cause I more often use headphones . When i do use the speakers , it’s usually low volume . And when i do use the speakers at a higher volume , i find that it’s actually too much base . By the way , I have a 14″ M1 MacBook Pro . But my next one , may be this 15″ MacBook Air . I just wish they would have put in Mini LED .

Large-screen Mac I was looking for. My 16” M1 2021 MBP waaay to chunky + heavy. I don’t need it’s processing power.

Bought a M2 Mac 16 in and didn’t really like it because of the weight. I have a M1 Ultra Studio so I didn’t really see the need for all that power and weight. Bought a 15 in MBA and the damn UPS guy didn’t knock on the door hard enough 😂

Yes please to comparison/buyer’s guide – not too long tho’. my wife is thinking of ‘upgrading’ her 2009 MacBook Pro. We put in a 256gb ssd and 4gb ddr3. Battery still works. A historical beauty – both the computer and my wife!

Stop lying to yourselves. The screen is too big. The smaller it is, the better. With the Apple Googles, you will get unlimited screen real-estate anyways, so it makes more sense to go as small as possible as long as you have a fullsize keyboard.

QHAT we all really need to know is – Do we need to upgrade memory? no way on storage as have naS etc already. But for 905% of users doing browsing and office applications is there any benefit to the increased cost of memory? thanks as always for your great reviews

I’m seeing questions here about the speakers comparison of the MBA 15 vs MBP 14 and I’m curious too. I would imagine the 14” is better if just because of the top grills and even the side air ports where sound comes out. The MBA 15 looks great! and I’m sure will be a best seller in the base configuration. But still happy with my MBP M1 14” if just for the ports and the mini-LED promotion display.

8GB shared memory and 256GB storage,
16GB with 1TB specced becomes wildly overpriced,
and obvious lack of numerical keyboard despite bigger laptop, as always,
Apple remains ridiculous in 2023 once again

Love the new MacAir 15”, question? would you say the base model will be good enough to run Photoshop and Lightroom because of the M2 chip? Would upgrading it be necessary?
