I have a late 2013 15″ MBP that I have running Ventura without any issue (Open Core Legacy patcher). It is so tempting to upgrade to this, but I can’t bring myself to do it. It would take a major hardware failure or a generation of not being able to update MacOS to get me to upgrade.
I have a feeling the upcoming Sonoma will be the beginning of the end for obsolete Intel iron.
am I the only one that wants a color matching keyboard, like the last powerbook G4’s?
Can we connect this to the monitor screen
I’m watching this from a 2016 15″ MBP with volume cranked up to get past the fans howling.
For me its far from perfect:
Only 8gb/256gb base model still in 2023.
No extra usb c port.
Still that ugly notch.
Bump in the price for the same thing but a tiny bit bigger.
Overpriced 16gb/512gb options as always.
Nothing can be upgraded later.
I still think there is one category missing. Thin and light with all the “pro” features except processing power since that is the only thing making it thick. Most users don’t actually need the extra power but would love the better screen and extra ports. Of course it would make the lineup too confusing but I still think a lot of people would want that
What a fanboy common its look the same as all macbook xD
I’d actually liked to see a comparison between the Intel MBP and the 15″ M2 Air. A lot of us are still rocking that config and are deciding between a M2 MBP and the 15″ Air.
From AppleInsider: “As expected, the 15-inch MacBook Air with 256GB of storage is equipped with a single NAND chip, according to YouTube channel Max Tech. This will result in the 256GB model having slower SSD read and write speeds compared to 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB models that have multiple NAND chips for faster speeds, but real-world results will vary.” So good to upgrade the storage. I went with the 16 GB memory and 512GB storage. Still no where near the price of a heavier bulkier Macbook Pro.
Fk the speakers. Why is the heatsink not fixed?
Great content as always Luke! And thx for getting it in quick so we Apple enthusiasts not known for patience will have great content covering this new Mac before we go out and buy it.
I’d say you’re a genius, the way you started the video was just amazing!
Dude’s excitement sounds almost NSFW
I picked up my new 15” MBA today and absolutely ❤️ the size compared to the 13” plus has more memory and fan less 😊
The speaker test lacks an important contender, the 14 inch MacBook Pro.
You’re late Luke! I been waiting since the day 15 inch air release!
I need more ports 😢
As far as sound, i always have bluetooth speakers in every size available, my favorite being my JBL Partybox 310 and the neighbors hate it😂😂😂
imagine not having a numpad on a 15 inch…
Still waiting for m3, I hate devices that run hot, never works well in the long run
