USB C is a good standard. But this change will increase waste. iPhone users have alot of fire cables. They would all be 🗑️.

Pretty insane decision from a conservation perspective. That’s billions of dumped power adapters and/or cables and billions more being remanufactured to replace them.

This is a case of doing something because it ‘feels good’, not because it is good.

This is a really good idea. I have an iPhone and MacBook Pro, so instead of having two chargers, I’ll be using one charger for both devices which is very economic.

It’s all about money, there is no good reason not to do it. I doubt anyone would be upset. Apple is all about being convenient and making your life easier with it’s products but yet they are intentionally stifling the progress of they’re #1 most popular product. It’s frustrating that on a “Pro” phone you can’t transfer these huge files and charge anywhere near as fast as they could if they switched. They use it on much of they’re other products so it has to be a money thing.
