Gotta replace iphone 4 😁After 12 years, volume button sticks, but otherwise the hardware is fine. Problem is lots of apps don’t support iOS9☹Environmentalists should maybe talk to software devs. Personally, I favour rapid turnover tech and better reuse and recycle. Macs also last long time now: I used to get a new Mac every 2 years. Currently using 8 year old 5k iMac for video editing! It plays 12k BMD raw like it was nothing

Could they not just use an iPhone X body? No need for extra R&D or tooling, and it’s a body they mass produced as well and done a “standard edition” of too (iPhone XR). Would have 2 cameras and bigger display too… surely an iPhone X with A15 and a few other improvements would not be much more to make?

I have the SE2020 as my daily, but I have an S21 Ultra 5G as well. When I go on vacation, I will be switching back to my Galaxy. I do miss having a button to switch to a different zoom

As someone with a grandma whose loathe tech but loved her iPhone 6
I’m very happy that this phone is very simple with the old iPhone design because I know she would panic at the sight of no home button on these modern phone

as an android user, who’se been putting up with ever bigger phones… if they stuck the Iphone SE v4 into the body of that iphone 13 mini body… i’d consider switching.

Other brands like Xiaomi know what makes a budget phone feel premium but with practicality. 1080p, 120 refresh rate, and a chunky battery with an ultrawide. There is no need for an exceptional chip in a budget phone as most people, even those buying the flagships, probably don’t need the extra juice. Apple did it just because they’re already producing them for the flagships and can pass it off as the biggest selling point which it is, but is impractical and unnecessary. They however won’t do the previously mentioned features of other budget phones for the obvious reason of cannibalising their flagship sales. They want a chunk of the budget market but are unwilling to make the changes needed. Pity, they could’ve done a whole lot better.
