People could always just get last year’s iPhone online for about the same price. You’d just pay up front.

Instead of the iPhone SE 2022 going with the iPhone 8 body why not go with the iPhone X or Xr body depending on many cameras they still want to give but with an A14 chip, yes it is not the latest chip but it still supports 5g and will still be an upgrade from the A13 maybe will receive updates for a year less than an A15 but even that’s a lot of more years compared to the android options in the budget which only give 2 or 3 years of software updates🤔

This phone will only suit people who absolutely MUST have these 3 things: an iOS device, a home button, small powerful phone.
Because if you only want an iOS device with a low price and still powerful for example, go iPhone 11, much better screen, better cameras etc
If you don’t need an iOS device and you have 430-450 to spend, you’ll be much better off with an Android:
Galaxy A52S with much better 120Hz amoled screen, a complete se of 4 very good cameras instead of just 1, performance more than enough for daily tasks, sd card, better battery etc
Or even an S20 FE 5G which has ip68 vs ip67, hugely better 120Hz amoled, a snapdragon 865 which was a flagship not long ago and will run absolutely everything smoothly, sd card, superior cameras with telephoto, reverse wireless charging, better battery etc

If i have been an iphone 8 user, is it a upgrade to switch to this new iphone SE?, maybe the the question is obvious but i wanna make a good decision for an iphone that doesnt take all of my budget 😅

My mom has an iPhone 6. She had apple replace the battery 3 years ago. Like, she has had it since 2015 and she is very happy with it. She will be getting the new SE. These iPhones last. (her 6 stopped getting updates, yes)

As Apple is going to discontitnue the mini version, they could use that chassis and use it with the ‘SE Formula’. Or use the XR chassis, if they want that “old” footprint and, it almost costs around SE’s present price. XR was one cute phone, barring the subpar screen resolution.

I bet having to charge the thing 2 or 3 times a day will drop the battery health and then decrease it’s performance sooner than expected.
