I feel like we could have gotten the iPhone XR body with the single camera and it would have still worked? Sure the price would’ve bumped up to 450-480. But atleast the battery wouldn’t be a disappointment nor the bezels

Never underestimate the power of the home button.I really miss it in my 13 mini. Especially when my kids ready to peep to see my passcode when I’m with my mask on😊

You’re kidding right ?
I’ll tell you, what SE stands for, it’s Shitty Edition.
It’s like putting a V12 engine in a crappy small ugly looking car.
So it’s fast, but the phone can’t take it because of the tiny battery, the display is a joke for 2022 and with a price let’s call it 450$ not 400 $ as you suggested.
Camera is embarrassing for this price and the phone can’t even possibly be used for more than 2 years.
Can you imagine using 720p in 2027 ?
C’mon.
They could’ve at least tweaked the phone a bit more.
Why the hell would an Apple user chose this over a mini or a normal iphone 11.
If they are just using it for “light weight” things then the older chip would be sufficient.
Also, at a midrange phone, no charger and no headphones ? Seriously ?
It’s not an old formula, it’s laziness.
If users need longevity, than just let them swap the batteries of the old SE or just keep producing the damn thing.
Honestly, let’s call it as it is, it’s an abomination.
And who still puts 64 gigs in a phone over 400 USD . 128 is pretty much the standard.
It doesn’t have to be all the cameras and an “obnoxious” battery, it’s a midrange phone, just make it midrange.
I’ll be buying my Dad a mini, definitely.

Why not use the iphone 8 plus body that would allow for the extra zoom lense bigger battery and bigger screen at 1080p

Well the $429 price tag is so miss leading because you’re only getting 64Gb or internal storage 😐😐 ooo come on man and if you want more just spen $50 more for 128gigs 😶 and that’s what should be the real price for most of the people’s who are thinking to buy this crap of a phone ⚰️

Most misleading Review.
All those features with shitty battery life doesn’t mean anything.
They can add bigger motherboard inside but can’t add bigger battery?
Who needs flagship chip in that phone? What a joke.

I think this phone is genius and misunderstood.
Sure it is not the greatest budget phone, but I think this phone has another target group: Boomers.
For my dad, the fact that a phone works EXACTLY like his old phone is not a bug but a feature, he doesn’t care about edge to edge displays and camera arrays. He wants a phone that he knows how to navigate, that isn’t expensive and that will just work.
And this phone is the perfect match.
It’s not a budget phone, it’s a boomer phone

the only idea i would have if buying this phone would be –> in 2-3 years i can give it to my parents / parents in law as it has THAT killer feature you need for old folks –> Touch ID !

Man all these Aplle Fanboys this Phone is an absolute peace of Trash. And if it wasen’t Apple everyone would hate about it. Even the 2020 SE is an absolute Nightmare. We got that one as a Company Phone and everybody hates it.

One of the things most people complaining about the body structure forget is the importence of home button. Yes it is awesome to gain screen with getting rid of it but the people buy SE probably will have a hard time getting used to the gestures. Home button really makes this iPhone much easier to use.

My work phone is a SE 2020. It’s already as powerful as it can be I find , for the limited hardware. It wasn’t a big deal when I’d switch to my personal Pixel4 , now switching to my pixel 6. You really realize the screen is 2017

Opinion: 2023 iPhone SE will be an iPhone XR with new chip and camera. Maybe OLED if you’re lucky.
