I had the 2020 se but the battery life was what made me upgrade to the 13 mini after one year. I’m not a heavy user but the after only one year the battery health was down to 89% and I pretty much never fastcharged the phone. I always had to have a powerbank nearby.

For me there’s no replacement for touch id. Paying stuff with it is so convenient and much better than having to hold the phone in front of your face. I’ll only upgrade if they put touch id on the more premium iphones, ipad air style. For now I’m keeping the SE.

If Apple made the SE with a bigger battery and full screen it would be a perfect budget phone, but it would eat into their base iphone 13 sales by like 90% and make them lose money.

Instead of rebooting SE, I wish they could do this to XR (may be called 2022 version) and that might become a tough challenge. Let people decide they wanted to go with 1 camera or 2 or 3 camera phone.

the iPhone SE had to be:

A15 Bionic
iPhone XR body
iPhone XR battery
iPhone XR screen (I would understand why not 120Hz)
iPhone SE 2020 Price.

But hey, apple needs to sell dogshit at high price so the normal iPhone gets way more appealing.

What they could do for the next SE is use the original iPhone X body and frame. I feel that would make the ultimate $400 phone.
