This thing is amazing value for money. Still really like the design and the home button is much better than Face ID, for me.

I’m guessing apple doesn’t want you to buy this, maybes that’s the reason why they make the design so outdated purposely, so the customer would go for a higher model! I could be wrong tho!

u r wrong…this phone is targeted towards budget Android users,to increase Apple’s customer base,an entry point to the ecosystem…BUT, at this price no sane android user would go with a “visual downgrade” when android provides so much more for the price

Pretty sure they never said “Bionic”, it’s just A15, might be a different version, underclocked (?), to compensate the smaller battery.

Here in the EU (or germany at least) the SE is 520€, which is 570$. I don’t really get why it is 150$ more expensive here. It’s kinda unfair to be honest

I don’t know why people hate on iPhone SE, It’s a very good phone for kids!
Would you buy a 13 years old kid an a $900+ iPhone ????
This is cheap, has the latest A15 Bionic and still a device into the Apple ecosystem,
PLUS it’s easy to replace in case it get damaged given it price point!

As a cellphone salesman for the last 8 years, I can tell you most people don’t go to the SE for features. They do it for the home button and familiarity. My biggest obstacle lately has been it’s lack of 5G. This is such an easy sell.

They could’ve used an XR’s body. But they didn’t, and I think because the design and obviously, the notch hasn’t changed much since iPhone X. If they do come up with a notch-less design next year, we might witness an iPhone SE with A16 in XR’s body, which will sell like crazy (If the notch-less design isn’t so darn good)
