I work at a phone store and honestly we just sell the SE to old people who still have the iPhone 5, 6 or 7 and they still want to keep the home button the specs makes no difference to them or probably most SE users

Feel like the more logical upgrade path will be 3/4 years down the road and relaunching the mini body from the 12 or 13 to upgrade the se line to that body

In Europe this thing is just ridiculous – 519€ for 64GB no AMOLED, not even 1080p, no ultrawide camera, no new design?
Yes, the A15 is the fastest chip ever but this is the prime example stating that raw power isn’t everything.

The 128GB version which probably almost everyone should go for is 569€ in Europe … and that’s just so damn much over the moon if you ask me.

Regarding the design. Isn’t it just Apple’s way of saying “yeah you want an iPhone, but we are a luxury brand, you can get the old crummy phone that you won’t show to people”.
They would never make a “sexy” iPhone SE because that would mean consumers would buy that one instead of the newest iPhone / pro model.

I personally would be fine with an SE model if it had a bigger display, since it doesn’t I have the iPhone 12 with way too many bells and whistle, more than I would ever need.

I feel like that if they were gonna use the iPhone 8 design again this year. They should’ve used the 8 plus body. That way Yk the buyer feels like they actually got a “new phone” and Apple would’ve been able to add dual cameras and a larger battery .

With Apple likely removing the iPhone mini from its lineup this year as well as slowly decreasing the size of the notch, in 2024 or 2025 I suspect the next iPhone SE will have the body of the iPhone mini with an ultra wide and better battery life. I’ll feel bad for those who like the home button though
