When apple released the 2020 SE i was fine with it, because the competition like the original OP Nord (which i have), pixel 4a and some others were barely good enough to go for. But now, this is too old to be using at any point in time forward. You say the longevity is great but tell me whos gonna use this phone happily two years down the road?!
The only selling point is that chip and the home button. And now that you could get an S20 or S21 series near $429 i wonder who needs to go for this phone. Seems like a waste to me.

I wish there was a button to turn off the urge to buy a new phone since I don’t need to upgrade even though my phone is 2 years old already phones are crazy good now specially if it’s an iPhone Software updates are forever and will last longer than your phones life so stop wanting to by a phone please watch the reviews but don’t buy it sincerely me to me

Battery life is single biggest reason followed by display to avoid it. Using iphone se 2, the battery went down to 90% in like 6months. in India, iphone SE price can get you into oneplus 9RT, s20 FE or even iphone 12 mini. I see no reason why anyone will get it in India at least.

I believe this strategy is mostly a matter of economics and supply chain. I believe that they won’t release an updated iPhone mini this year and instead with use that body and supply chain for the 2024 SE version. Therefore, Apple will also be able to appease the more niche small phone users with a phone that’s updated a bit less frequently.

I’ve had a 2020 SE as my backup phone for my 12 Mini since it came out. I have to admit that I sometimes use it just because I really miss that home button. Lets face it, it just works so freaking well. Is it a perfect phone? Nope. But it’s more phone than most folks will ever need and it’s also gonna be supported seemingly forever which is probably the most overlooked thing most phone buyers miss.
