I really like the Home button. This is something i miss in other phones. I might buy this one simply because of that button. I cant think of another recent phone that has it

hmm i bought 12 mini for 550 120gb 5g so just some bucks more will get u a better one plus is not like 400 dollars is cheap

I had the se 2020. I don’t any longer but not because I didn’t like it. I really think it does everything most people need—except for maybe having a longer lasting battery. I think it takes great pics and video, all that most people need, and you can learn to live with the smaller screen. The resolution differences to me are barely noticeable. I also prefer the more rounded sleek design (not larger bezel) compared with the more squared off 12 and 13. The best small phone is still the mini but the differences may not matter to many people.

If this had an OLED screen and a robust battery, it would be the perfect combination of the new and old formula. But then again, the increase of price will always be the concern here.

I still have my iphone 7 which is basically the same body with SE, and still find it comfortable to hold than my iphone 12 mini.

I recently bought the same one. I’m the kinda user that has this phone to be connected with the world. Calls, messages, nothing more. I turned down a lot of stuff in the settings to max out my battery life. No fancy software tricks to make the iOS look better. I did make some snapshots and listened to some music, but overall, it’s just in my pocket because I need to keep in contact with people. Battery life? 4 days. That’s right. After 4 days of usage it was still on 20%. That’s why I have the SE. I just don’t need more.

13 pro owner here. Have been on this “newer model” since the X. Still missing the home button and still hating Face ID so much that I’m actually considering an SE next time around. HDR video would be a miss, as well as the higher refresh rate, but honestly, I still feel like a home button would make me happier than those things. Along with trying to generally use my phone less, I’m seriously considering the switch.
Has anyone else taken this step backwards? If so, what were your thoughts?
