It may have the most powerful chip but that’s like installing a ferrari motor on your 2018 Toyota Corolla. Sure it is powerful but you aren’t gonna take advantage of that power in that form factor.
Now apple is literally selling you old phones and marketing them as new. Nobody is surprised.
literally evert 400$ phone is better than that obviously they could make better version
1st watch ,,i like your reviews it doesn’t feel like a commercial
Good marketing, people who would buy this are those using Android as a daily driver but needs this in the other pocket just to detect AirTags!
Coming from a huewei p30 lite(battery life is dropping off due to age), can’t get a new huewei for the lack of any proper google support, I’ve been using an old iPhone 7 for the time being and it honestly has me considering an SE since I don’t mind the small display and am enjoying the apple features it has.
When I was working at at&t we called it slow edition
I wish there was an iPhone SE Plus model
would be perfect for me
I hate the weird aspect ratios and love 16:9 but getting an iphone 8 Plus is not that great of a decision because of the age
In my opinion the next SE should be in the iphone 8 Plus body / design
Home button, we rise!
I have a theory on this phone & why they kept it so ‘iconic’.
You know how photos and vids of Toyotas surviving in war zones and far away lands with no supply chains does wonders for Toyotas sales?
I think it’s the same thing here. They have to keep some standard but old designs around to keep up that durability image which loads of us buy into.
The new hilux won’t last as long as that 35 year old land cruiser but we think it might- just like we think that 13 pro will be in our hands for 7 years (it won’t).
i bought the base 64 Go model in France for 529 euros (~575 usd), which is a 34% markup as compare to what price you get in the US, but I still think it’s a very good deal and I intend on keeping it for 3-4 years minimum. This phone replaced for me my trusty iphone se 2016, so I don’t know and don’t care about all the features Marques is talking about
This garbage is being sold for 700 dollars in my country. Only a lunatic would get this trash for that amount of money. Would buy it for 300$ max.
next gen se should have the xr body with the iPhone 11 screen
Had an iphone SE 2020 for two years. Loved the small size, loved the design, yes I even like the thick bezels. But what ultimately became a dealbreaker was the battery. I’m a pretty heavy user, and when I charged the phone before going to bed, by the next day after my commute to work (listening to spotify and browsing the web) I was already down at like 50 percent. Switched to an 13 this year, not used to the bigger size yet but a vast difference in battery.
my fear with them beefing the chip up so heavily is they plan to let this model stagnate for the next 3 plus years. which if the current issues get worse could happen.
I have the 2020SE for work I hate the thing. All the pros you have mentioned are 100 percent true but I still would rather use my iPhone 11. Also why wouldn’t apple use the iPhone 8 Plus body? It’s bigger and might be able to fix some of the things that’s wrong with the 2022SE.
I think this phone is good value, but I would definitely rather pay $30 extra for a Google Pixel 5A. It has better cameras, a better screen and a better battery except for the processor
Would take the se over any other budget phone that chip makes all the difference using a budget phone with a weak chip after a year or 2 is the worst experience
Should hv been in 8XL chassis, at least
i really want to get one since i’m finally upgrading my s10e but here in turkey it is 670 dollars while i can buy for half the price a 8gb ram phone
( but i like everything compact )
so probably will go for the 2020 version or maybe wait a bit
As someone who orders multiple iPhone SEs every week, these phones are made for businesses. With bulk purchase price we can get them dirt cheap, they last up through to their upgrade date and then some, and they are the perfect size for 95% of our users. The only down side is they don’t sell as well as the latest model so Apple will likely keep cutting back on production, and the battery can lose 10% battery health within a year (which is a death sentence).
