I have a iphone 12 mini and I am considering trading for the SE purely based on the fingerprint sensor. I hate face ID and I always have.

Display is the only thing that has me stop from buying this phone, I’m a budget android phone for years (always samsung)… And will be pretty good to try the iOS but I need a better display.

Consider that iPhone SE buyers might actually prefer this form factor:

Touch ID instead of Face id:
Face ID is still clunky at times (especially in the mask wearing age) and Touch ID is better for Wallet, tap and pay.
It’s also better for triggering Siri without needing to look at your phone or in noisy environments (driving a car without Carplay).

Some folks might also prefer the rounded edges in the hand.

I agree a better battery would always be welcomed.

But have my doubts that an ultra wide camera etc are something this kind of buyer would seek out.

I love the philosophy behind the SE. if they slapped on just the main camera from the 13(maybe 13 pro/pro max w.e) and put an OLED screen instead of LCD, I think it’d truly be a future proof. Classic iPhone design and yes the home button

The iPhone 5 body would have more room for battery, and it was a more solid design anyway. They should have kept the iPhone 5 body of the first SE and just upgraded the guts.
