Old Age people in their 60s and 70s will buy it as they are used to the old design from years ago but i would not buy it , why not cough up the extra 200 bucks for the standard 13 ? as you get dual camera and Oled display that is what the kids want minimum nowadays.

Gah! I just upgraded from an iPhone 8 to an iPhone 13 mini, but I totally would have gone the SE route instead if I knew about it. I was totally fine with my iPhone 8 if it weren’t for the fact that the processor was having a hard time keeping up and the 64gb storage was killing me. But otherwise, I would have been happy with a cheaper, updated version of the iPhone 8. And a month in, I REALLY miss that home button!!!

Instead making “mini” lines, i think it should be better for apple to make this kind of “se” every year, but with iphone xr base design and spec, it has face id, bigger screen, better battery life, and newest chip

All the things you say they should add to the iPhone se 2022 like the battery life better wireless charging better resolution extra camera hole better display they have all that in the iPhone 13 mini . Iphone se is just for the people who don’t care about new body every year new screen new gadgets etc it’s for the people who just want a fresh battery for they’re iPhone se and a new chip set and they’re happy wjth what they have just want a refresh and don’t want new features for a new added price just same old same old

little fun fact: the camera of the se 2020 and 2022 is actually different than the one in the iphone 8. When you swap it out for an iphone 8 it WILL work but only for a bit before it stops functioning. SE has a 4k capable camera

I am still using an Iphone 10r while the Iphone 12 is sitting on shelf waiting the Iphone10r to retire. This SE phone does the job. Not more needed.

I’m using a 6yo iPhone 7 and it’s doing quite fine performance-wise. You were spot on when you said the top-spec chip makes sense: headroom for years to come. My dad’s still on his SE1 and only now he’s beginning to think about upgrading

I upgraded my iPhone 8 to the iPhone 12 last summer, but tbh I just find it too big and clunky – the camera sticking out is just annoying. Thinking of getting out of my contract and switching to the SE3 to go back to the old design. Any thoughts please?
