Great review Marques, but I think what you fail to understand is that Apple and the intended end user for this merchandise are not comparing it to other phones in the market; they are comparing it to the iPhone 8. The person buying this product is not “shopping around” so to speak.

In essence, the ploy here is to cull off people who still use older iPhones. If we consider that user (older iPhone users), then we can immediately tell this is either a person who can’t afford to upgrade to a modern iPhone, or is uninterested due to lack of need. For example, someone who uses a phone very little and preserves it well can now enter the A15 experience and continue to enjoy future Apple products.

That person now has one less reason not to upgrade, and Apple can receive a return on investment by providing this niche merchandise when that person again holds onto it for several more years to come (customer retention).

I had the the first se when they was in 5c body and most recently the se 2020 but it’s broken now so using a a 6s 😐😂
I get and upgrade in 8 days I want this ✔️💯 I prefer having the home button personally! And always found the se good phones does what I want it to do 👍🏻

I feel like they could stick with this design and keep making a cheap phone, but change a few things (like the bigger battery or smaller bezels) and charge around as much as the iphone 11 (it’s getting pretty outdated anyway) currently (like $500 or $550) and make a new phone that’s based off of the old design
