Came to the comments to say that keeping the iPhone 8 design has probably cut down on A LOT of waste over the years. I bought a case for $19 that was originally $60+ too. I would rather have that then some new stuff that isn’t even really utilized all that much anyhow.

Apple is greedy and don’t care enough about further improving the budget phone, which is to say they don’t care about improving the experience of the average phone user. Also, they seem to want to widen the gap between their budget phone and flagship phone, their lineup looks as if its saying, get the people in then get them to upgrade to a stronger, more expensive iPhone later on. Honestly it makes sense.

I can’t see the camera being the best at that price considering it’s no better than the last SE and the Pixel 4a/5a and Samsung A52 series had better cameras.
