Still expensive, it’s more expensive than the galaxy s21 FE, and with less resources, the only good thing is the processor, but the S21 FE smashes it with battery life, screen and cameras

Base iPhone SE -> $429. Base iPhone 13 Mini -> $699. So $270 more. If we go with the notion that iPhone SE owners trend to keep their phones relatively long (anecdotal evidence says this is true), say 4 years (a conservative estimate). Then let’s see. 4 years x 365 days/year = 1,460 days. 270$/1460days = 0.18$/day. For 18 cents a day more, you could own an iPhone 13 Mini. I understand that this is just one way to look at the purchase of these two phones. But, for me, it points to the iPhone 13 Mini being a better cost vs. benefit purchase. Better camera. Better and bigger screen yet not a larger form factor. And perhaps most importantly, better battery performance. (If the SE didn’t get through the day on several days with a NEW battery, what is battery performance going to be like after a year or more?)

Apple has felled behind on their phones for the past few years. They will really need to blow minds this fall. Haven’t had a good reason to upgrade from my 11 pro max, really disappointing.

IPHONE 14 MINI PRO WITH AN INVISIBLE NOTCH HIDDEN AROUND THE BORDER OF THE DISPLAY BEHIND A TINTED GORILLA GLASS-LIKE DISPLAY BORDER. APPLE COULD AT LEAST MAKE AN “EXCLAMATION NOTCH” THAT TRANSFORMS OR DISAPPEARS INTO A NO NOTCH FULL TOUCHSCREEN.

The longest lasting budget phone is the best budget phone. There is no point in getting an awesome, cheap phone that you have to replace soon. This one will last 6 years or longer and that’s its most important feature.
