So, I use a Pixel 6P as my daily driver, but am looking for a small phone with a decent camera, music, nav apps, etc. for taking on outdoor adventures (trail runs, ultras, bicycle tours and so on). Have been using my old Pixel 5 but took a tumble and cracked the screen and, previously, a Pixel 3 but its battery life is terrible. Is this the phone?

Another beautiful example of MKHD being an Apple fanboi. Other companies like Huawei and Asus making innovative phones, amazing cameras, and monstrous phones, this guy: Yeah it’s decent but I would not recommend it, blah blah.

Apple makes sh*tty phones over and over again, with age-old designs, terrible absolutely terrible battery life, bumped up prices, and ridiculous repair programs, this guy: Easy to recommend, not great battery life (more like completely shit), the easiest way to use Apple and their ecosystem.

C’mon man.

I was hoping they would drop the “Mini” and turn that model into the SE. I am looking to upgrade from an 8 to a new age iPhone without getting a massive sized phone. I will be getting the iPhone 13 Mini as rumors are that they arent producing a 14 Mini.

The way I see it, the 2022 SE is just Apple selling their dusty warehouse overstock chassis of the old iPhone 8 and hoping the inclusion of the new chip drives the sales.

Great video. I was mulling over what chassis they could use to give us a bit more than we do with this. iPhone X, right? They’ve got the tooling, it’s a dual camera bump, FaceID – but then…it would cannibalise sales from the flagship I’d expect. I guess they need a clear differentiator between their products so as to survive in their own spaces. There aren’t any blurred lines here [with their current lineup]. Want a cheap iPhone? SE for you. Want anything else? 13. Want the very best we can do? Pro(Max). And those survive without tripping over each other, giving Apple a great coverage of the market.

Businesses that need to give their staff a phone are going to LOVE the SE as well; it’s cheap, got all the Apple security features they want and simple and easy to configure.

only if they would have got rid of that eye sore huge bezel from the screen to an edge to edge with an iphone signature notch this phone would have been their ford mustang… imagine that bezel with that screen 5 years later, you would look like back to future time traveller

Well it should’ve been on an X’s body no doubt, I thought that was their formula when the first gen SE first came out. I’m hoping the next one won’t be an 8 again 😂😂

I’m honestly still glad apple is considering people that still reside with the home button. I love the haptic feedback on the home button and touch ID.

I’m using android right now and was thinking about upgrading to an iPhone due to the longevity of those phones, but the price you have to pay is ridiculously high, especially with all the old tech besides the A15 and 5G in the SE. I mean for 429$ ( about 390€) it would (almost) be a no brainer, but in Austria/Germany the base model costs 519€ ( about 565$) which is just too much for what you are getting.
