SE actually stands for scaled economy. Apple is Squeezing Every bit of profit out of this market segment. By keeping the familiar (and beloved) iPhone 8 form factor and internals they Save Excessive cost on development (antenna system, display, mechanicals, haptics, etc) while providing more silicon volume to the A15 Bionic which drives the cost further down due to volume. The interesting thing about this phone is the price. Apple was able to get fairly good performance out of what should have been a $399 price point and gain more net profit by getting $30 more than what the market segment would normally pay. That strategy is Simply Elegant due to Scaled Economy.

That’s the reason Apple isn’t getting potential customers from Android users.I was waiting for this new SE but when it actually comes out,single camera disappoints me.

Great review. I really enjoyed it.

I got an iPhone 8 Plus when it came out in November 2017 and I remember how fluid everything looked and felt even though it was a 60 Hz display. No Android phone screen I had before looked and felt that fluid.

I still miss that phone and think about it sometimes. Fast-forward years later, I got used to the high refresh rate on my 7 Pro and 7T Pro McLaren, and the S20 Ultra and now the S22 Ultra I traded it in for.

Still, I wouldn’t mind going back to a 60 Hz iPhone display. I’d get a 2022 iPhone SE…and am thinking about it…as my gym phone. In my experience, unlike Android, iOS doesn’t really need a high refresh rate screen…even if it benefits from one.

The market that doesn’t get talked about much here is Corporate America. For someone like a field technician, it’s got a decent camera, the performance won’t frustrate them, and they won’t need to refresh it for several years.

Plus it’s an iphone love it or hate it. And there are several MDM platforms for it.

Yea I got the iPhone se 2020 and I will never buy another se again I now have to iPhone 12 mini in less then a year of real very day use I can say that the phone is only good for a kid the battery health is already at 84% and in less then a year of having becouse I got in in 2021 I can only buy budget iPhones and I thought I was saving money and getting something good but that was simply not true I love my 12 mini and could recommend you spend a bit more money for something much better
