Iphone mini line could replace the iphone SE line in the future. If they can bring the starting price down to $500. So that will be updated design for SE in a small tested and approved form factor.

I don’t care about the home button. But I do love touch ID. No phone should be locked into only 1 biometric form of unlock. I wish the iPhone flagships had face ID plus an in-display fingerprint sensor. Until they do that, it’ll be hard for me to upgrade from my iPhone SE 2020.

IPhone SE: No amoled display, no extra cameras, poor battery life…the processor upgrade on this phone as a whole can’t justify buying this phone…the only advnatge it has camera improvement which is welcome in this price range, using 5G with this hardware will be nightmare

I’ll be honest, I am perfectly fine with the SE’s specs, even if it is outdated. I’m not willing to spend more than $500 on a phone and I don’t want a contract. I don’t game on my phone, I don’t need a phone with a mini TV screen on it, and the size of the bezels are a non-factor imo. The battery is sufficient for me and the camera is fine. Sure, I won’t be getting the “latest technology” and 80 cameras on the back to take a simple picture or vid but I’m okay with that. Only things I care about is if the software is up-to-date, the chip performance, and it doesn’t break my wallet. The SE 2022 checks off those boxes 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I don’t think its actually a question of how much more but rather how much carbon footprint can they save if they were to reuse existing materials/design.
In a couple of years I could see the SE adopting the Iphone X’s design. I actually like the SE but the only thing setting it back is the battery life. Yes, a better refresh and resolution would be good too, but not until they solve the battery problem. If they actually manage to do all of that, I may choose the SE over the regular iphone (non-pro) model.

need that home button (finger print) for use a corporate phones. and iPhone SE certainly seems the most popular corporate phone in my experience.
