For my eye, it good second phone. It small, thin, simple. Next SE should use iphone 13 mini body.

You are not taking into account the customer segment. This is a phone for a grandma/pa or kids. If they put the display from the iPhone XR/11 many people will go buy that one for 500, even 700 before getting the new one with only slightly thinner bezels and slightly bigger screen. They gotta do their business. Their revenue mostly comes from selling the iPhone.

You want a real update on the iPhone SE regarding these characteristics? Wait until they redesign their real Iphone. Then wait up to 1 year and you will get a better SE

It’s the same design as iPhone 8 and at the same time a almost same design as iPhone 6 which is from 2014, 8 years ago.
And if people who buy this will use this phone for around 3-4 years, then they will be using a phone (2026) that looks like a phone from 12 years ago. I mean, TWELVE years…

For me, unless I want to have the A15’s power so deadly, I would definitely go with other phones or pay a little more for 12 mini.

I’ll hold on to my 2020 SE until 2024 when they move the SE to an iPhone 12 mini body. Until you give me new cameras AND 5G I can’t justify an upgrade. My primary phone is actually an Apple Watch SE and I average less than an hour of screen time on my actual phone anyway. I bought an Insta 360 Go so I didn’t have to miss the camera on the phone either.

The iPhone SE line is definitely my favorite, though. I am constantly trying to use my phone less, but I value what Apple brings to the table, especially since I’m a Macbook, Apple Watch, and iPad user. So having a solid, no-frills iPhone to pair with my solid, no-frills Apple Watch is just what the doctor ordered.
