Best performing budget phone in 2022
Best camera on a budget phone in 2022
Cheapest new iPhone
Con’s:
Outdated 720p display
Old body design
Really bad battery
No fast charging
Really small screen
I really think this phone isn’t worth it in 2022
it’s really outdated and i was hoping that they would at least use the iPhone XR’s body.

As someone who just wants an iphone for facetime, messages and static recording this seems like a neat little device! Does the iPhone SE still support HDMI out?

I’ve been waiting for someone to mention the importance of the regular, old home button. It really is a saving grace to my grandparents, as they have become so used to it, that they would be completely lost without one. Not to mention that it scans their finger as they press it, so they don’t have to bother adjusting their face if the angle is slightly off.

If they made the SE better it’d tarnish the full version too much. Apple don’t want to give you more in the SE, they want you to buy the latest iPhone.

iPhone SE customer categories:
1. Young kids (need a cheap iPhone)
2. Older folks (need consistency, a home button, and bezels.. anyone who’s ever handed their iPhone X and up to an older person can tell you whatever was on your screen won’t be when then get it positioned to look at the screen)
3. Corporate customers (who’ve standardized on iPhone and need cheap phones to hand out)

None of these categories care about a high refresh rate screen, extra cameras, etc. just a cheap easily understood standard edition iPhone.

I have the 2020 SE and it doesn’t seem like a huge upgrade. This phone will probably last me another 2 years

its 2022 and im still using my iphone 7, still getting the latest IOS updates,
works absolutely fine, all i need would only be a battery replacement.

I have the 12 pro, and the battery lasts 4-5 hours with quarter brightness and battery saver on. 😬

SE stands for Small Edition (or it use to). I know because when Apple were contemplating developing a smaller screen and a basic phone that is what their own documentation referred to SE as. I was one of the people who first suggested the smaller screen phone be developed because the screens on the phones were simply huge!! Of course Apple can change the meaning of SE at any time but you are probably right.. Simple Edition does suit!!
