i love love love the se 2020 and was really hoping they would be able to solve for battery life in the next iteration; the camera, bezels, brightness etc all dont bother me at all, but my phone constantly being nearly dead is not very fun

i wonder if they kept it for corporate contracting. Big business sign contracts with Apple to supply employee’s with work phones. The hospital I work at gives a standard iPhone 8/SE to all admin staff. I’m sure other large business companies do the same.

Something with the XR design and these specs would cannibalize sales from the 13 mini and even the regular 13 so I get why they went with the old design. It’s still disappointing tho

The downfall to this is that it’s using a 64bit processor instead of 32 bit …so the memory storage is not that great , starting with 32 gig storage will not be enough for future iOS updates …lol this contradicts the A15 bionic processors iOS support…
The mini model is more future proof .

My mom uses a $160 smartfone…..has 1080p 90hz amoled….snapdragon 680…5k mAh battery wid a 33w fast charger(comes included in d box)….wid a punch hole display…..its juz amazin how steep down can apple go wyl i-sheeps juz follow!

I have a IPhone 12 Pro Max, but I still use the iPhone SE ‘20 because the Max is like lugging around a suitcase compared to the SE. I use the Max for content consumption whenever I am in bed. The SE battery is useless if you use it anything else besides making calls / texting. Reminds me of using a iPod in that regard(poor battery life).

The problem I have is that if you go for the 256GB version (if you’re a storage junkie lol) you end up paying £569 (in UK), at that price you could buy a great android mid range and still have some money left over

You kept saying you wanted to see a bunch of extra features, and how you’ll never know the price I guess.

But .. the phone you described is literally the iPhone 13 Mini. And like you said, the price is $699. I do wish the Mini were cheaper though, I’d buy it with all it’s features. I don’t mind the $429 price of the SE but that design is garbage.

This phone sounds like it should be $199 but because of A15 and 5G they have the luxury to bump the price to $400+. A year later it would go down to that price range for sure
