1. Stop thinking that a smaller screen is a mistake. The market this phone appeals to likely prefers a smaller screen.
2. Keeping the form factor the same is what allows them to give you flagship specs in many respects, while keeping the price low. That’s economies of scale. The frustrating thing is I know Marques knows this.

The iPhone SE truly only exists for people who want a home button. My dad is one of those customers, he does not want to switch to a buttonless iPhone and so the iPhone SE is his best option.

@Marquest Brownlee Regarding the battery situation, for a user such as yourself yes this will burn through the battery with ease, but if we consider the demographics that this is targeted towards, then I think its actually quite good.

how can the iPhone 13 mini last longer if the body is smaller, if a bigger battery is placed in the 13 mini, how can that not fit in the SE, right?

I bought the SE 2nd gen to replace my Iphone 7 last year. It was worse than the iphone 7 when that was new. I had the SE 2nd gen for 1 year and 8 months ago I bought the 12 mini. The mini is a much better value because it will last much longer than the se. Hell you can get the 12 for $100 more and I bet that will be a lot better than the SE 3rd gen. I was worried about no home button, but it’s so natural to swipe, it’s really easy to adapt. Also I don’t use the 5G service because the battery would take a larger hit than the speed increase is worth.

Had to laugh at the XLR interconnect cable. C’mon Apple: dump the annoying Lightning connector and get with USB-C so us audiophiles can enjoy our iPhones without the fragility of dongle absurdity.
