Missing the point of the older form-factor; grandparents. A physical home button requires no learning or memorizing gestures, which will then invariably change (Samsung/Android).

They are a growing market for technology, as the number of retires grows due to increased life expectancy. It’s a smart move to keep it, and i’m sorry Marques i’ll take the total absence of help requests from parents/grand parents trying to figure out how to use gestures for the sake of a wide angle (that they’ll never use) or a faster refresh rate display.

I loved the first SE, had it for 4 years. Then the second SE released, but I realised that I didn’t want to be considered a second class citizen by Apple, so I tasted the fruits of Android and OnePlus, and now I’m living the high life with my 90hz refresh rate, big boy battery and massive display 😎

well given that the saying is you cant teach an old dog new tricks, i will be predicting a series of hardware issues including battery problems, heating or resolution issues. This new model was a recipe for disaster from the start and if they keep raising prices every year with the same body as this 8 reincarnation, this will be the SE (Special) no more.

I would buy this phone in a heartbeat if they are willing to downgrade to the current iPhone 12 chip or iPhone 11 chip for more battery… Definitely don’t want 10% gone from just using navigation app.

Best thing about iPhone 8 was the ideal size on hand compared to today’s standards where everything’s getting bigger each day. Wish the screen was bigger though, would make everything so much better for sure

The next iPhone SE will use the XR body and most of its hardware, but with (you guessed it)… newest chip, 5G, improved camera. And this will be an amazing value at $429. aaaand they will use this formula for 2-3 more iPhone SE versions.

You keep mentioning the 400$ price tag of the phone but in EU this phone starts 539 euros which is about 590$. For this price tag EU people certainly have a lot more better choices.
