I think Marquees is missing the point is that Apple already has a range of phones in the 13 series to please all kinds of users and markets. Why would they include all the good stuff in this phone to lessen the value of the 13s? LOL. That would just be dumb. You want lower price, and on top of that you also want all the new and good features, LOL. Why not just buy one of the 13s if the other features is what you’re looking for?

This iPhone SE would have been more compelling if it was a bigger screen at that same price. Apple is missing a trick here; make these bigger and sell them as the R line. Basically it should be a merge of this and the iPhone 13 mini, but with a bigger bezel less screen and the marketing of the previous iPhone R.

I kind of laughed halfway through to the lack of camera options. Nobody who’s experienced multi-camera probably is getting this phone… except for me. lol I have a 12 Pro Max, but it’s such a bulky device to lug around. The battery is meh at this point too, it may last the majority of the day, with heavy use it doesn’t though. I’m ready to simplify definitely.

this phone looks like an upgrade to people from the 10 and before. the insane chipset is for people who won’t upgrade in the future for a while
the next iphone se should be in the XR body or like an 11 body

I don’t think they should touch the body of the SE only for that home button. Especially for the older people who can’t really comprehend finger gestures for certain actions. Just click and that’s it with the home button

honestly, the next SE should have the X or XR body, no FaceID and a fingerprint scanner on the side button.
this way it can be kept low cost because of an older design and lack of more “modern” technology, but it would have a newer form factor.

that being said, the SE is such an intelligent phone. for example, my grandma has one and she loves it. she doesn’t need or care about high refresh rate, high FPS and such; she just likes the iPhone and its simplicity, and also she prefers a smaller form factor. many people feel the same. I would feel the same, but i personally prefer a better camera and a bigger screen because I USE IT. the smaller form factor is still a win to me, and that’s why I got a 13 mini.

apple took the easy way not out of laziness, but because they know who will buy that phone and why. it is a low risk high reward situation. and it is even less of a “new” phone, being a mere upgrade to the already best selling SE 2020
