No matter how often he repeats that, it doesn’t change the fact that out of any normal smartphone, the Se is by far the most special BECAUSE it doesn’t have a bezelless, no homebutton design like literally the entire rest of the market… besides foldables, there is literally no other phone that stands out as much as the SE.

I would like to see the iPhone Se with a notchless, bezel less, punch hole display. The reason I say notchless is because I feel since the SE is the cheaper version of the iPhone lineup, it doesn’t require all those sensors present in the 12s and 13s. So the phone would be 5.4 inches with a punch hole camera, 1080p display, decent battery, a14 chip inside and even 4g would do. This way the name Special Edition would mean something

Apple knows if the budget phone becomes too good the sales for premium Smartphones will decrease.

Apple be like if you can’t afford the premium Smartphones don’t get out of the Apple Ecosystem we have a much cheaper option, the Apple iPhone SE 2022.

I just wonder what I’m gonna do with all that processing power with that small display and battery! And longevity? It’s already a 5 years old design and small battery(which will be worse when battery capacity will degrade). Just for ios and a camera, I can’t sacrifice the rest features. Pixel is way better option alongside other budget phones.

I wonder if Apple keeping the SE’s body (iPhone 8) in mind holds them back in anyway. I can imagine there might be a circumstance where Apple would want to do more with their chip, but they couldn’t because they knew it would have to fit inside a 5 year old body, with thermal and battery limits.
