This is the thing with this phone, besides the margins for apple because of the recycled designs, it IS about the home button. Apple is rumored to be working towards an under display fingerprint reader for their higher end phones. As long as they don’t release that feature on say an iphone 14, they will never release it on the ‘budget’ model because that would deminish their marketing ability for the feature. Upgrades usually trickle down at Apple, never up.

A lot of normal users, love this design, hence so many millions holding on to the 6 & 6 s, apart from that I don’t know what u guys expect design wise from a $400 phone, which will last for 6 years, perfect for kids & older people, superb processor & a much improved battery which was it’s Achilles heel

I don’t care about all today gimicks like faceid, multicameras, etc, but I would’ve liked a bigger screen. As an iphone se 2 user, I do feel that the small screen is showing its age already. Now in the same case and even more pricey, this will be a hard pass, come on apple.

You forgot the best part (at least for me) it is still compatible with the iphone 8 battery case. I used it on the SE 2020
