Suddenly Apple is now a company that listens to consumers simply because they stuck with the home button?? Have you forgotten Apple removed the 3.5mm headphone jack from their phones in 2017 without giving a hoot about the users that prefers them to AirPods?

It’s weird, but I kind of like it. I could live with it for sure, the drawback would be mainly the display size, resolution, brightness. But the videos will use entire display, while today’s iPhones will not, so…
Next time they could use iPhone X body😀 That would be excellent phone though, we can’t have that. Or they could just make the basic 13 cheaper.

My iPhone history:
iPhone 3G > iPhone 3GS > iPhone 5S > iPhone 8 > iPhone SE (2020)

I think the iPhone 12 and 13 Mini will become the new SE in a few years.

Well, why not buy a much lower priced Iphone se2 than this. Chip upgrade won’t extend the ability Iphone se3 does since that 4.7 inch tiny screen you won’t play Genshin on it like what the Apple told you on their ads. By the way I notice the iphone 11 is getting weaker on signal after latest ios upgrade.

We can’t ignore the eco system. Imagine a family where everyone has iPhones of one version or so. A young son or daughter wants a phone – it just make sense to get an iPhone. The benefits of ‘find my’ and ‘iMessage’ can’t be ignored. I know from personal experience – that android has lots of excellent cheaper options. But I think the strongest feature that this phone has is a ticket to the apple eco system.

If Apple is planning to ditch the Mini with the iPhone 14, I think that’s the body for the next SE. The R&D/design/tooling etc is already there for that body, so no need to develop something new, it would make for a more modern feeling phone, but smaller than the standard options. They could bump it up to $500 and still have an affordable way into having the latest iPhone, I would buy a 2024 SE in a 2021 Mini body.
