I installed iOS 16 beta 1 on my iPhone 8 Plus. I can’t set different wallpaper for the lock screen and the home screen. It defaults to the same. The calendar widget on the lock screen is from the phone only. It won’t install the “iCloud for Outlook” synched calendar, that is on my home screen. When I say, “Hey, Siri,” the ready tone is different. Much lower pitch and different sound. Don’t like it.

Nice review, I downloaded the public beta and was waiting for some reviews. Glad to know that only a few features were denied on the 8 plus. And after your review I think I’ll wait for the final version, I was expecting some stuttering here and there but battery life is important to me right now, and on mine is very decent, so I’ll wait a few more weeks until September.

I updated my 8+ to ios 16 and it just wont stay cool, it easily overheats while charging. I think ill wait with updating my 11 just to save the battery

Thanks for this. I love my iPhone 8, dunno why I just prefer Touch ID to Face ID and I’m glad it can still update the OS
