I just think it’s funny that even Apple admitted silently by getting rid of the iPhone 7 that it wasn’t exactly the best selling phone by getting rid of it a year early.
The iphone 8 Plus could run a fair bit smoother due to the extra 1GB of ram.
I still haven’t got ios 16 update on my 12 mini 😂😓
Hi Nick! Can you do iPhone X or Xs Max on iOS 16? Thanks.
The iphone 8 and 8+ are very slow by now even midrange android phones from 2020 are faster than these iphones so i think thats why the ios 16 is the last update the iphone 8 will reseive, because the time once will reach.
I think the problem is the RAM, this thing just have 2GB of RAM. My 2nd generation iPad Pro with older chipset but 4GB feels quite alright and performance is not night and day compared to my m1 iPad. I wonder how 1st generation iPad Pro 9.7 with 2GB of RAM runs iPad OS 16, must be painfully slow.
As an 8 Plus user, I’d love to see how it runs on iOS 16! It’ll be interesting to see how it compares to its little brother
Let’s try a12 chip👍🏼
That gold version of the iPhone 8 is so clean and classy. My mom still has her Gold iPhone8+ and won’t upgrade anytime soon lol
I have a feeling that because the iPhone 8 and x came out the same year, Apple will give the iPhone 8 iOS 17
Can you do iOS 16 on iphone se 2020?
I remember my 7 heated up badly when I installed ios 15.
I just remember when the iPhone 7, iPhone 8 and iPhone X came out when I was in middle school few years ago and I’m already a senior which is crazy.
All iOS 16 supported iPhones have the Neural Engine fyi!
I think The progressive slowly its caused by thermal throttling
How much battery is decreased in 10 mins video Nick?

I have an iPhone 8 Plus and with iOS 15.5 I notice no difference in performance compared to almost three years ago when I bought the phone. There are no significant delays and the phone does not get hot. The battery (the second one) is now at 95% capacity. The question is whether I should update to iOS 16 or not. I mean … I do not need new fancy wallpapers or the equivalent as long the phone performs as it usually does which is reasonably impressive for such an old phone.
I’m surprised how well iOS 16 runs on that little iPhone 8. I’m sure it drains the battery, so it’s probably better on the 8 Plus. I’m guessing this will be the last year for iPhone 8 and X.
