There is no way a headset is going to be the end of the iPhone. Does not make sense

I appreciate my eyeglasses but they are a pain in the ass. I cannot imagine people walking around with that ugly thing on their face. I love my phones but the headset is a hard pass for me. I’m sure they will be useful in some way but definitely not daily life.

@apple if you are planning to replace the iphone with vr goggles that is very dangerous it is bad enough that people text and cell phone while driving, biking and walking but goggles are going to become a complete visual obstruction.

even if you was to make the device camera transmit through what if the camera fails? we see such dangerous failures with the tesla self driving mode take for example where the car fails to detect a big rig truck against the glare of the sunset and steps on it and tries to drive under the truck killing the passengers and driver.

i get it you are trying to protect our privacy by enclosing the screen in a cowling to prevent others from seeing the display or even from someone using a gun scope to view the screen at distance but you are better off re designing the display to auto blur at distance and calling it “myopic display” you already have display named after the receptor surface of the eye called “retina display” that is your high resolution displays used in your laptops and imac so why not a “myopic” display witch is clear up close and blurry or redacted like at distance that is much safer than goggles.

if your goal is you dont like the name “iphone” then rename it to “apple phone”

if your goal is to consolidate and make 1 device do everything and sell more apple watches and be something right out of inspector gadget i would be happy to buy an apple watch when i have to replace the iphone.

The iPhone is well known for its camera and video quality and i dont think Apple will put cameras on the VR headset or Glasses that would be obtrusive so what will we do if we want to film or take pictures i think the iPhone will be around for a long time still , great video !!
