Yeah even if this happens people will buy apple. The brand sells its self. Tell me how many times you’ve seen people before 2020 buy an Intel i3 Mac air with 256gb of storage for 1k. With 1k in 2020 you can get a good windows machine that out preforms apples intel laptops. Appels ecosystem is too great for people to step out of. Sadly this is the way. I don’t think andorid will follow suite as well the only real andorid competitor is samsung and samsung leaving last generation chips in older phones will upset customers. Ontop of that that’s why samsung has an A series. Budget proccessors at a cut cost. Unlike Apple possibly doing this if it was samsung doing this die hard samsung fans wont mind but regular people looking to buy a expensive android phone will, if some one gets the option to choose a more powerful phone in an android market for the same price they will sway towards it. To add my last bit IOS is wayyyyy more efficient so doing something like that may not benefit the phone but it won’t hurt it as bad either in the long run compared to doing the same on a android phone. Depending on what android OS most andorid manufactures are not optimizing their android os to their fullest potential. There’s so much competition in android market space for samsung or any android competitor to pull a quick one.

Samsung s22 ultra speakers quality mediocre, handset ear scratching, awful battery, connection problems etc… Exynos is a big let down.

To be sincere, I’ve used a few apple phones and bottom line they only care about making more profits… And their products are stressful in case of any issue.. A no no for me any day.

I think in the end it boils down to what you need as a daily driver. I personally stopped getting the newest and latest phone every year and usually get a new one every 3 to 4 years.

Apple’s last year A14 Bionic processors are still faster then the current android flagship processors of 2022. So technically giving the old generation processor in non pro iPhone variants isn’t that bad but also not good as it will make other industry leading smartphone brands to copy the same trend and its not good for the android world.
