They copied Samsung
Providing a15(exynos) and a16()snapdragon for the same lineup at least they won’t charge the same for the inferior chip

Oh well thank God that’s all😅 I mean apple includes a 1284p screen on the iPhone 13 and Samsung includes a 1080p screen on the s22+ so I don’t really care about this because the 13 is 400$ cheaper then the max iPhone

Apple always makes the worst choices possible (for the consumers) unfortunately they pave the path for the rest, so I personally think Apple should be getting all the blame. I’m sick of Apple doing something and then google, samsung, or another android company getting backlash for it while Apple collects their money without a fuss.

But that’s capitalism baby 😎

This is the beginning of Apple’s two year product cycle. You’ll be seeing this in the MacBook next, this is why the M1 MacBook is still available when the M2 MacBook is just being released. There always has to be an old and a new model within a two year product cycle.

Since by then the price will be relative and the 13 pro and pro max would be better in every possible way

Samsung does it by having their own chip and using Qualcomm chips.

Samsung costs to make their own is cheaper than buying Qualcomm. That is why most of their phone get the Exynos.

If the US and China would stop using CDMA, then Samsing could use the Exynos in all their phones.

It costs to much to sell 100M phones with a Qualcomm chip in then.

But you still got a new chip in the models in the same family.

The S models regardless of size, got the same chip. Same for the Note.

Apple is always cutting the 8 sheep love getting sheered.

nah I really doubt any android companies will follow this because they already kind of do it in their mid range and budget phones, if samsung only put the current flagship chip in the ultra, there would be no incentive to buy the plus or regular S phones over the A line, I really don’t see Samsung doing this and if they do, they’re complete idiots.

Android OEM’s have been doing it with mid range and low range devices however they won’t be able to do it with the flagships as it will hurt their sales. The bionic line of chips is 3 years ahead of Android so it’s not a problem for Apple.

I have no loyalty to either ios or Android, I enjoy both, but it’s just obvious that a company want you to buy their best pruduct. So putting the best chip in the Pro’s only, is a no brainer really.

When this was first mentioned I said the danger was the butterfly effect. Meaning iPhone would be doing this on future series, whatever convenient alibi Apple offers…and that means Samsung and other companies will start coming out with Pro/Ultra phones which have the latest chips but put older chips in the non-pro/Ultra models.
