The Microsoft Surface Duo had scathing reviews based on early reports of having the previous year’s chipset, but upon further inspection, those people hadn’t even held one in their hands. Actual users of the original Surface Duo reported the software being buggy as the main complaint. This was understandable as the phone was the first of its kind, having separate screens would be uncharted territory.
I feel it may be the opposite scenario here. Slab phone software is tried, tested, and true. The old chips will draw criticism from people who don’t even have the new phone yet, but users will hopefully find that the software will have the benefit of advancements in ironing out bugs, optimizing current features, and hopefully adding new ones.
I’m not defending Apple in any way, and I actually have a strong dislike for it. I adore my galaxy watch4 and z fold3. I’m doubtful Sal’s findings will affect the Zfold audience.
Dream scenario for everyone: the chip shortage will force phone companies to slow down on being sales-oriented above all else, and they focus on breakthrough features that raise the bar. This hopefully brings out the best creativity from all the competition, and we really see phones progress far beyond incremental spec upgrades. Maybe a true flagship every 18 months or 2 years release?
Hi Sal 👋
Have Great Day 😀
“Ya, I’m looking at your Samsung” 😂😅
Yeah and mostly BATTERY LIFE. A16 might be more efficient, or like it happened with A14 that was inferior efficiency wise to A13.
Apple users won’t feel much of a difference because the latest Ax Bionic chipsets are already very advanced, but for example if Samsung were to include E2200 or SDGEN. 1 instead of the next Exynos or SDGEN. 2 in their Samsung phones that would be a disaster because they would be like 3 years behind the latest iPhone Pro and wouldn’t cost THAT much less, that’s why I feel like Samsung isn’t following suit at least for the next couple years. Let’s hope though it never happens.
The a15 is overkill so it makes sense
Why didn’t you make a video on the Nothing Phone 1 when it launched 2 days ago?
Sheeps will defend this saying last year chips are better than current years android offerings so it’s no big deal. It’s actually crazy how brainwashed some people are
Why wont they us lpddr5x ?
Samsung already does this with A series phones!
The only reason this worries me is because (as you said) Android phones will definitely follow soon, starting with Samsung.
Lol APPLE
well, Apple is still gonna succeed even with this dumb buisness idea
Any updates on the Tesla phone?
I knew they would find something to cut costs, which will be equal or more what they will be losing from requiring licenses to make Apple accessories, because they must go USB-C now.
So it will be much wiser to buy iphone 13 pro instead of new iphone 14? Because you’re going to get the same chipset but with pro features.
Okay so first thing sal every time I comment some stupid telegram person pretends to be you and makes me like telegram me you want to prize blah blah blah and then I can’t I can’t report their account I don’t know really how to I just remove or report their comment second of all hey man everybody we got to cancel that n**** Apple dude this is some b******* like pretty soon they’re going to have no screen in the box You could purchase your iPhone screen separately and that’s going to be some b******* come on now
i dont think the absence of the headphone jack or the charger isnt really a problem because we have other or better options but, yeah that chip issue, yes i said issue, is concerning
You won’t notice it THIS year. Next year 😑
LoL, waiting for hearing other companies having same chip shortage issue too. 🤐😂
Typical Apple motto: This is business. 😉
