Okay, but is it any worse when android has done it for years? At least this chip is objectively more capable and ahead when compared to 99% android market and only worse than their own newer chips in a vacuum. The takeaway from this is nobody is going to have issues with last year’s A15 when the iP14 comes out, especially when talking avout real world usage and people may wanting the newest iPhone, but don’t need the extras with the pro/ Pro max variety. This is even less of an issue that people have a 3 year plan coming from devices that were already way behind in tech at that point.

Oppo Find X5 SD 888 ; Find X5 Pro 8gen 1
Realme GT2 SD888; GT2 pro 8gen 1
Redmi: K50 MTK 8000; K50 Pro MTK 9000
Xiaomi 12X: SD 870; 12 8gen 1; 12 pro 8gen 1
and many more. These OEMs do that to save money.

I’m happy to report that this was copied from android OEMs by Apple.
Hoping that samsung doesn’t do that
