The DI is 30% smaller than the notch on the 13. My assumption is that 30% difference is actually the distance they moved it down. Whether or not it takes more or less space, (which if it does I doubt it’s anything worth mentioning) I’m glad they are actually making use of it.

Well when rumours saying about peel punch hole cut out I was literally not interested but now seeing what they did with that, that dynamic Island is something else. Just awesome can’t wait for my new 14pro max.

LoL Its a pill shaped camera cutout I refuse to call it dynamic island, still waiting for the fingerprint scanner to be back and usb c… so I guess Im not upgrading this year

I just want to see the quality of the camera. That Dynamic Island is just an excuse to keep the “notch” bc they can’t hide their sensors as their competitors.

Didn’t LG (rip) have a patent for that punch hole design back in 2018? Well at least Apple makes use of it.

edit: I forgot that they bought that technology from LG. That makes it theirs

Apple baited everyone with iphone x 999 price and it still 999 and 1099 5 years in a row. while everyone else went under 1k to 1200 1400 1500 base price. Lets not forget samsung made a lower spec 999 phone with 1080p plastic garbage.

I was considering upgrading my 13pro to the 14 pro but I feel like I should wait for the 15-16model.

The dynamic island stands out in all the right ways and I think it’s cool but I feel like it will get way better in years to come (hopefully smaller too and maybe we can see it on future MacBooks)
