The additional cost of iPhone 14 will probably only affect those who have to buy a new phone every year or so. Won’t affect me until I actually need a new phone. And I won’t buy any watch Apple or otherwise, that is too big to fit on my wrist without banging into things in day-to-day use.

Apple wasn’t immune to the chip shortage; they were just ahead. Now it’s caught up to them. No matter the cost, ppl will find a way to buy it, and Carriers will find a way to sell it.
But do we really need an iPhone this year? No.
