I paid close to 1k for my Garmin Fenix 5. But it has a battery for a week, GPS location and maps, Mp3 player, heart rate monitor and apps. It is also indestructible and unscratchable. I am probably the target market but I am not ever going to buy a watch I have to charge everyday

If there were people buying the 18K and the ceramic Apple Watch in the past, not surprising to see a 999 bucks version with the Pro tag. The focus should be what the watch can do that the non pro cannot.
