I went from the 8 to the 13 and definitely more battery life and doesn’t die as quick and the zoom in and out I love the cerematic mode

hmm, started to buy phone only for the battery like 4 years ago,cuz most phones are exactly the same, every phone can run every app zero lag ,fast af, cameras are soo insignificant i dont even look at the pixel counts, most of them look the same .gaming on android is joke, only game on emulators if the phone runs ps2 games im good. still hearing people say oh this new phone can last up to 2 days. i dunno either i am winning the battery lotery when buying phones or just 2 days aint that high enymore, im sitting with a poco x3 pro ,after the update im hitting 90-100 hours from one charge. wifi bluetooth allways on ,listen to something like a hour of music on youtube everyday,120hz..play a game for a hour and still survives more than 3 days. ofc if i go full zoomer and play something like 8 hours of genshin impact the phone will survive only one day

I had to switch carriers in August of 2021 and chose a mini 12 at that time, with having had the 12 since it came out. I had less issues with my 12 mini. I decided to upgrade to 13 in March since it was free. I would say the upgrades from the 12 line are pretty good. I however do rag on this iphone as it doesnt feel like a 13. Its like an iphone 12s. The battery life is usually really good, the cameras are a huge improvement overall, but night mode is still awful, the screen brightness is why I decided to upgraded as the screen goes up to 1000 nits. Compared to 600 nits this was a major upgrade as I can never see my phone screens in the sun. My only issues with the 13 seem to be same I had with the 12 which is service is wonky. I didnt have that issue with my 12 mini. Im not sure why that is but thats my one complaint about the 12 & 13 for some reason they drop calls and disconnect from wifi alot. Debating on returning it for a 13 mini, as I had an XR for 2 years before the 12 and that phone had so many issues. It would overheat to the point it would melt phone cases, it would freeze and glitch out, I had 5 XR replacements and never had one that could retain signal. So am I fan of the 13 since its reminding me of past issues no. Its weird I had no issues with the 12 mini not one. So am weary of Iphone upgrades to begin with now.

But sometimes you get a lemon lol. I really do like the Iphone 13 line, its a way better version of the 12 line. So if you had the iphone 12 for a year and upgraded. It is a huge quality of life improvement. The screen alone made me upgrade. The sound quality, cameras are 10X better than the 12 line. So it doesnt feel like a huge upgrade. Day to day it does. I am a heavy user on my iphone with devices paired, & the battery last for about 30 hours. I would get anxiety when my iphones hit 20% before when out or doing something. Now it last for around 2-3 hours. So its a huge difference.

I think if you break your 12 just get a 13. As the storage options make all the 12s the same price as the 12 mini & 13. So its a no brainer.

bought my iphone 13. first iphone in my life. 2 weeks in got a scratch on the screen cuz of keys in my pocket. used android phone (BB priv) for 7 years and screen still fresh . what was funny was that i had to pay extra to buy charger. becuz of the scratch i am forced to buy cover and screen protector. i realized how fragile they make these phones intentionally so that u are forced to buy all these protective gear. capitalism much?
