I feel like Marques goes way too easy on Apple. Then again it’s been a while where he actually digs into critiques and I can’t blame him entirely. He’s the biggest tech youtuber and he needs to keep connections with companies and can’t just flat out go hard on things.

His comparison to Camrys was a bad analogy. People aren’t upset that it’s only an incremental upgrade. They’re upset because they called this the iPhone 13 when it should have been a 12s, but you know, sales aren’t as strong on S models.

People are upset because they put relatively innovative features (for Apple’s standards) like the Touch ID in the lock button on the iPad Mini and didn’t do it on these phones. Seems like a blatant attempt to just throw those in the next iPhone to get more sales.

Apple was hailed as an innovative company but things have just gotten lazy. If they’re concerned about the environment make an iPhone every 2 years rather than every year.

I still have an iPhone X and even with the new battery it’s age is showing. I was waiting patiently for this iPhone but it’s such a disappointment I’ll have to truck it out and hope this thing can last another year.

The only issues I have with recent iPhone releases is that they only offer a telephoto option on the pricier pro models. I use that far more than the apparently more popular ultra-wide angle lens. Also cinematic mode on the latest batch of iPhones is no more than a gimmick at the moment. Needs another generation or two to become a genuinely useful option.

bruhh was literally thinking the same thing about car manufacturers release their new model every year with very little improvement and was thinking with apple doing the same thing with their phones every year.

I hope that all brands get the same “you know, it´s alright to not innovate much year on year” treatment going on. It is true, but I usually see Apple getting the pass where others get slack.
