Great vid as always, but sorry to say 3:16 the icons either side of the notch are in fact slightly bigger (time, GPS, cell signal, wifi, and battery all bigger)

1. While being able to get 2 full days of light use is better than before, it’s still not good enough until you can get a full day of absolutely heavy use at full brightness

2. Like mentioned, if someone has an older iphone from 11 onward, it’s not worth upgrading. So I wont upgrade till next hear, personally

3. Another reason not to upgrade is iphone is planning on violating users privacy rights by scanning your private property that is stored on their icloud: photos, texts, etc, and if their scans detect anything even if it’s a mistake, they will have real people look through your texts, photos, etc. btw this is only a stepping stone away from iphone scanning your actual phone and not just icloud. Don’t want to give them an inch

4. Another reason worth holding off on an upgrade is that iphone is taking the ports away in some future upgrade, so there’s no point in spending all that money on an upgrade that will functionally be obsolete in the near future. You are better off saving up for accessories that will wirelessly connect to phones, because when Iphone does this, all the old equipment like mics, well, there will be a large increase in the creation of wireless mics, etc to accommodate the iphone. Once iphone does it, android will too. No avoiding that one

I bet future iphones, maybe distant future, like 10-20 years, will be one solid piece, and will not have a battery because it will be powered by light, or some wireless energy source. Will have esims, completely waterproof. Made of an ultralight more durable than metal material. The camera sensor will be huge, image stabilization perfect, and both sides of the will be a screen, and there will be no physical buttons. It will be completely waterproof. Iphones and ipads will pretty much replace computers, cameras, and laptops

Please stop making intro music a lot louder than speaking voice. It is very unpleasant, especially when using earphones.
It’s so unpleasant, it made me wary of the volume throughout the video instead of sit back and listen to the content. So I decided to go for dislike for this video.

Love that intro. So many comments sections on tech blogs are full of people banging on about upgrading their phone every single year as if that’s an entirely normal thing to do. At this point you should be getting at least 3 years out of your smartphone imo

Hey maybe that’s a video idea Marques. 2018 phones vs 2021, what are you really missing out on or some such. At what point should you really be upgrading etc etc. Admittedly that kinda goes against the obsession we all share with fawning over the very latest shiny new things… but still.
