Hi Marques,
Long time listener, first time caller. I love what you do and how you do it. Please keep up the great work.
In this video, you compare the iPhone to a Toyota Camary, and make the argument that the majority of people do not upgrade their Camry every year when Toyota puts out a new model. We however have a some personal benchmarks on when to upgrade cars:
– when they reach x miles
– after five years of ownership
– after a major accident
there are a lot of personal factors.
What are some benchmarks we should adopt to smartphone ownership that you would recommend?

expecting indisplay fingerprint reader in iphone……..and i can clearly imagine that apple event mentioning “introducing the all new in display fingerprint scanner, but to accommodate it we had to reduce the battery life” 😂🤣😂🤣😂

To me as 12 mini user the buying point is battery and brighter screen. But….. being an adult i switched off back ground app refresh so battery is better and then i also thought how often i put brightness max? Almost never. So i am sticking with 12 mini for now. Even though i upgraded pretty much every year after 8 Plus till now.

It’s so freaking weird to me how time is. So, I dont have any Apple products, and Idk if this is irrevelant since I have a Samsung. But, I’ve actually had my S10 since before Covid…. which means by the next year (for me) I’ll have had this phone for around almost 4 years.

Every day I keep getting tempted like I should switch to Apple and I genuinely have no idea if I should. Like the biggest turn off for me is how absolutely insane in the price and I just feel like half of it isn’t worth it. I also wouldnt be able to like have my headphone jack because for me, I really like my headphone jack and I hate the idea of having to always be charging things and having to buy a fucking adapter JUST TO plug in my damn headphones. Although now the S20 and up dont have one so idk anymore… everyones getting rid of the jack :(((

So I’m super unsure. Another thing, I also was considering getting an iPad Pro because as an artist, I’d absolutely love to have a much more efficient, much more portable, much more accessible artistic medium and I am getting SERIOUS FOMO from all my art buddies who use Procreate. Im so torn man.

The other biggest turn off for me is having to buy ALL the stupid accessories separately like damn bro I gotta buy EVERYTHING??????? Shit, even Samsung still gives you a stylus with their tablets and chargers and etc. Though, I’m not toooo sure if the price relative to the product, is about the same if the final price *already* included the accesories (just disguised as like… idk tax or something, Im sure theres some math that goes into this. I dont think i explained that well)

Ughhhhhhh i genuinely cant decide if this (the phone) and an ipad pro are worth it im so torn

Plus if I switched to apple Id have to like somehow sell or trade in everything android that I have and i dont think id even make back half of what Apple is worth (relative to samsung) because of just how crazy expensive it is geez man
