this has been apples methodology for awhile now, most of the time the new iphone is underwhelming at best but every 3 or 4 years we get a complete and substantial upgrade.

Unnecessary bulky.. oh you mean like iPhone 13 camera bump?? Bigger battery . True , but the software uses more. Higher refresh rate.( uses more power) But you won’t notice .
For those who do not know . The internals of the regular iPhone 13 are the same as iPhone 12 Pro.

The notch cutting into the video is a YouTube issue. Any app that uses the normal video player API avoids it.

The irony is that everyone knows this game Apple is playing and yet they keep getting away with it. Reason 1 is the inertia of Apple buyers, but equally as important, reason 2, to the dismay of all Apple haters, is that even with these minuscule steps forward, Apple still manages to release the best smartphone in any given year. They have insurmanountable lead in CPU design and it’s the reason my 11 Pro still beats the crap out of the latest Samsung S21 Ultra when it comes to app performance and gaming. Yep, 2 year old phone from Apple is not just ahead of the best Android smartphone on the market right now, but actually very comfortably ahead.

I just really wanna know why the iPad Pros or at least the 2021 version does not have the Cinematic mode or any of the nice camera updates. Like you can not tell me a M1 chip can’t do something that a weaker chip can do on the same 5mm process. And yes I take pictures and video on an iPad you can cry about it.
