Honestly, the iPhone we’re waiting for is the one that will have:-

1. A Solid State battery – for many times more power capacity, for days of usage on a single charge. Longer overall battery lifespan and elimination of the “dendrites” phenomenon problem.

2. Vastly more superior micro-LED (not mini-LED which is completely different) – for more superior brightness in bright environments, better viewing angles, contrast, refresh rate capability, superior lifespan and above all elimination of the elephant in the room which is eventual long term screen-burn from organic LEDs.

3. an end to that most hated of problems which has plagued many iPhone iterations of recent years; that being the Display brightness (thermal) throttling/dimming – the issue where the display’s brightness can step-down so dark, as to be disturbingly difficult to see in brightly lit environments and sunny days. A problem usually triggered off when the iPhone becomes warm, either from surrounding environment and/or intense processing from apps/software, high power drain from boosting network signal transceiver when in low coverage areas and other reasons.

I hear iPhone 13 Pro Max has improved slightly on point “3.” above.
