The biggest issue I have with iphones (only kind I use) is, I don’t like spending that kind of money for a new product that will so (relatively) quickly become obsolete – particularly when the issue often isn’t because the hardware or functionality has gone bad, but merely because Apple has intentionally quit updating and supporting it, because it wants us to breathlessly queue up outside the store to shell out our hard-earned money for their latest new “marvel.” But they kind of have you, with their proprietary integrations you have committed yourself to – making the changing over to another manufacturer’s make a tremendous hassle!

Never thought that you too will turn your back from the consumer-facing product rather than pampering the iPhony trap… The average iPhony consumer doesn’t want this change or they don’t even know about this change happening since most of these people don’t check youtube tech review before buying new iPhones. Sure, who will want to have a better display, better camera hardware (that can help while editing), better charging, better features on a phone that costs 1000$+, right? Just because they can, doesn’t mean they should.

Really disappointed with your sudden change…

Soooo, what I take from the first 3 1/2 mins of this video is something I’ve been saying for years. Marketing stymies technological advancement, especially for consumer products. Case in point, my Sony Ericson P900, while bulkier and not as much memory, had many of the core features of today’s smartphones and that was back in 2004. It feels like smart phone technology either stopped or regressed around 2010 for the 3 and now 2 main suppliers (Apple, Samsun and Blackberry).

Brilliant Review. Only thing I will add as independent developer is that Apples products are superbly integrated. There are more things to consider when enhancing and integrated product. Also apple are focused on beating themselves and not the completion.
