I found it so funny when I tried to convince people to buy 144hz monitors and at first they were super unconvinced. Let them use it for an hour and then switched back and they hated me because I ruined their 60hz screens for them.

my advice on the newer phones getting small upgrades with each new release is to not get each new phone
keep your old one for a few years and then upgrade to the latest once your current one is really starting to cause problems
that way it’s a much bigger upgrade for you than if you bought the previous year’s phone and upgraded to the latest one
I ordered the iphone 13 pro 3 days ago when my iphone 6s finally started having serious problems with charging
