Promotion is also different from other handset adaptive refresh rates in that it only ramps up frequency to what’s needed, whereas when you’re scrolling on an S21 it’s 120 hz until you stop scrolling. Slower scrolling on the 13 Pros may only ramp up to 70 hz if you’re not doing full bore scrolling.

That’s one reason the 13 Pros are so battery efficient.

120hz has nothing to do with eyes. Its how many frames you’re brain can process. A person with very poor vision can also experience high frame rate. Also putting 90hz display is a jitter mess. You can’t have multiples of 24fps,25fps,30fps or 60fps reach 90hz that is why 120hz is the sweet spot.

I bought the pro max and love seeing this. BUT it is the worst phone to hold in one hand because of the weird hard edges. Never without a case

I think the request for ISB type C should have an asterisk, with the addition of the new video modes amd even the way the iphone handles HDR photos, I can see an argument for thunderbolt instead, certainly on the pro phones.

I can see why it isn’t included yet as the thunderbolt controller is only on the M1 chips and I can see why Apple didn’t put one in a iphone.

Yes the reason I said Asterisk was becuase thunderbolt uses the same style connector and the USB standard absorbed parts of the thunderbolt standard.

I think at this point, Apple stans are so baked into society, there’s no use reviewing anything else, because when the new iPhones drop, they’re always gonna be “the best phones to come out that year”
