needs a thumbprint scanner Face ID is good but I find myself time and time again where I need the thumbprint to log in between Covid mask’s protective gear while working protective gear during leisure sports outings like skiing quading dirt biking but for me it time and time again face ID is subpar.

I feel the ramp down to 10hz should be standard across the line up. It saves energy and makes the already great battery life better. Apple could (and would) play an energy saving “green” angle I imagine.

Charging speed is still terrible, huge notch and frame, no dual sim no fingerprint sensor no always on display. Overpriced.

13 pro “technically” has an astrophotography mode. Put it on a tripod and tapping the ‘moon’ logo at low light will allow you to go up to 30 seconds shutter speed, it happens only when the phone is on a tripod

It is not completely manual but the photos it take are really better than 12 pro max’s astrophotography

Any thoughts on when we might see the Astrophotography mode? And to what extent will it differ from the current night mode? I’m a hardcore astro fan and one of the main reasons I wanted to get the 13 pro max was the Astrophotography mode…Also is it possible that they might add it in a software update?

Apple failed to sell me on the pro once again this year. Pro motion is sorta noticeable and not at all worth paying more for. The camera quality is really close to if not the same on 13 and pro. Multiple reviews have shown this . Battery life is really only better if you go max and that’s 1100 usd with a brick in your pocket later. The mini was my choice this year. Same great quality from wide and ultra wide sensors . Same great performance also. I REALLY struggle to find enough reasons to go “pro” and spend 2-3 hundred more bucks. Just get a 13 or 13 mini , pocket the extra cash or get some fresh AirPods.
